Claiming Our Multiple Layers: A Creative Journey with Artist/Educator Nancy Katz

As clergy in service to the community, outer and inner selves aren’t always in alignment. Our time together will allow the opportunity to re-member public and more private identities with personal values and priorities. Participants will receive a package of supplies including a simple journal and assorted art materials to inspire and embellish a set of three wooden stacking dolls which will serve as the “canvas.” No art skills are needed, just openness to experiment and express.

Nancy Katz is a seasoned artist and arts educator who has been working for and with Jewish communities around the globe for decades. In addition to her creation of textile work and design of synagogue stained glass, Nancy takes pride in empowering individuals and groups to take risks and embrace their own creativity. The pandemic and the technologies with which we have become (a bit too) familiar has introduced her to new methods of engagement and possibility. www.nancykatzwilmark.com
