Torah study and professional development are pillars of the CCAR Mission to provide excellence in rabbinic leadership and to strengthen the Jewish community. Each CCAR lifelong learning event is grounded in Torah and provides opportunities for meaningful chevruta.
The CCAR is excited to present the 2023‒2024 Continuing Rabbinic Education, Support, and Wellness program guide to our members. Wherever and however you serve, our program provides diverse and in-depth opportunities to strengthen our rabbinates, our personal lives, and our connections to each other. Our program includes opportunities for studying Torah with leading scholars, responding to urgent social justice issues, connecting with Israel, leading in a time of change, and enhancing our skills in areas such as pastoral care, transition management, supervision, and fundraising.
In recognition of the importance of ongoing learning and growth, the CCAR membership overwhelmingly approved a Continuing Rabbinic Education requirement. In response to some of your questions, we are providing a FAQ to clarify some of the details about this program.
As part of our new Continuing Education Requirement, each member of the CCAR is asked annually to read the CCAR Code of Ethics. You were given the opportunity to indicate that you had read the Code when you submitted your 2023‒2024 dues form. If you did NOT indicate on your dues form that you have read the code, please take a few minutes to read the Ethics Code and indicate that you have done so via our CCAR Code of Ethics Requirement form.
