Resolution Adopted by the CCAR
Pre-School Education
Adopted by the CCAR at the 90th Annual Convention of
the Central Conference of American Rabbis
Phoenix, Arizona, March 26-29, 1979
The Commission on Jewish Education has recognized that lifelong learning begins with
the pre-school years. The new curriculum being prepared for Reform Jewish education
will make explicit objectives and learning experiences for the pre-school child.
The Central Conference of American Rabbis concurs with the Joint Commission on Jewish
Education in calling upon the members of the CCAR and the congregations which they
serve to sponsor pre-schools and to integrate those pre-school programs which are
currently sponsored into the congregations’ total program of Jewish education.
