How Can We Talk About Israel? Developing Our Own Capacity for Dialogue and Building Skills to Guide Our Communities

With Simon Feil, trainer and facilitator, Resetting the Table

An online, facilitated group for CCAR rabbis
6 sessions, November 2026–January 2027

Fee: $125
Limited to two groups of 8 people each.

As rabbis we struggle to have open, honest, and vulnerable conversations about Israel with each other. This is fraying relationships and increasing our sense of loneliness. Additionally, many of us struggle to guide our diverse communities to engage in open, yet respectful, dialogue.

This series combines both facilitated conversation between participants and learning concrete skills to use with others. The small group conversations will create a space where—with guidance, frameworks, and tools—participants can have meaningful, direct, deep, and personal conversations across their differences, without shying away from their real feelings or conflicts. The sessions will also enable participants to develop practical skills to lead these difficult conversations in their own communities.
